Year of Mercy Meditations
The past couple months have been marked with reoccurring high fevers (103+) three times a day and for several hours of the night. His family continues to care for his needs as each passing week seems to become a bit more difficult. The doctor has introduced new medicine in hopes to improve the quality of life. We all remain hopeful. He has started to use a walker in the rectory as his imbalance has caused him to fall several times, thankfully without hurting himself.
Again he thanks you for your generous prayers, kind support, gifts and heartfelt cards. He continues to receive offers from individuals and prayer groups throughout the diocese, Catholic and non-Catholic alike, offering to come pray with him. He wishes that he could accommodate those who wish to visit but at this time, his health and family has to be his only focus. May God reward the generous offers to come pray with me and offer me comfort.
