Registration Packets will be mailed week of June 22, 2009
IMPORTANT INFORMATION – PLEASE READ

bullet CCD Classes Begin: Wednesday, September 2:   5:30 - 6:30 p.m. – Grades K through 8th
                                                                                            7:00 – 8:00 p.m. – Grades 3rd through 12th
                                                                                            6:00 – 7:00 p.m. – One 10th grade class
                                                    Sunday, August 30:   6:30 - 7:30 p.m. – Grades K through 11th

 
bullet Register EARLY to insure your choice of class time but no later than August 1;

 

bullet Fill out both sides of registration form completely – incomplete registrations will be returned.

 

bullet NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED ON THE FIRST DAY OF CLASSES.
Students who are registered after CCD begins will be counted as absent for the number of classes that are missed.

 
bullet Keep a record of the class time chosen for each student; if your choice of time is not available, we will contact you

 
bullet Classroom assignments will be posted the first day of CCD on the bulletin board in the Education Building foyer

 
bullet Class Meeting Dates & Traffic flow map are attached – please review & follow

 
bullet Students should arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before class time.  Students not in their classroom when the bell rings will be counted as tardy.  Three tardies count as one absence.

 
bullet Students should be picked up promptly after class

 
bullet All CCD students are expected to attend Mass weekly on Sundays or Saturday evenings.

 
bullet Building/Classroom Rules/Dress Code included on Registration Forms will be enforced

 
bullet If your child is in 2nd grade, include a copy of their Baptism certificate with their Registration Form and read the Sacramental Information on the back of this form.  If your child is in High School and has not yet been Confirmed, please read the Sacramental Information on the back of this form

PLEASE NOTE THE DIFFERENCE IN REGISTRATION FEE FOR 2nd AND 10TH GRADERS!!!!!


Dress Code for CCD classes
Grades K-5: No athletic shorts are to be worn.   Dress modestly and according to public school dress code.

Junior High & High School Girls: Follow public school dress code with the following additions: No low-cut dresses or blouses. No shorts. No mini skirts. Capri pants are okay. No midriffs showing.

Junior High & High School Boys:  Follow public school dress code with the following additions: No caps inside the building.  No athletic shorts.  NO SHOES WITH ROLLERS!

FOR PARENTS OF FIRST COMMUNION OR CONFIRMATION CANDIDATES:

 

MASS SIGN IN

REMEMBER:  All High School students who have not been Confirmed
and all students entering 2nd grade should sign in after each Weekend Mass they attend.
 Look for the MASS SIGN IN Table in the Church foyer after all Masses.
If your student attends Mass at another Catholic Church, please have them bring that Church’s bulletin (write their name on the bulletin) to the box in the Education Building foyer or bring it to the next Mass they attend at Holy Family.

PARENT CLASSES (Required)
The following classes are required for the parents of Second Graders and High School students who have not been confirmed.  Although Confirmation is not offered until the 10th grade, we encourage 9th grade parents to attend as soon as possible in case there is a conflict at a later date.

 

Session A: Mass        Session B: Sacraments      Session C: Church

 

There is a possibility you may have attended some or all of these classes for another child.  If you have, you do not need to attend again.  If you are uncertain of your attendance, please call the CCD office at 573-5398.  These classes are being scheduled on a weekly basis.  The name of the class and the date and time for that class will be published in the bulletin each week.

                           Commitment ceremony immediately following picture taking
            6:00 p.m. Mass/Confirmation Ceremony

                            Banquet immediately following 6:00 p.m. Mass


FIRST CONFESSION/FIRST COMMUNION SCHEDULE

Text Box: FIRST CONFESSIONS will be held during the regular class times in December. Because First Confessions are during the first semester, it will be necessary to follow a definite curriculum, such as certain prayers having to be memorized by certain dates. 
FIRST COMMUNION: Sunday, April 18, 2010 during the 9:00 a.m. Mass.
PRACTICE :  Saturday, April 17, 8:30 a.m. Wear complete First Communion       attire to practice because picture taking (group only) will begin immediately following practice.
