ABSENCES IN CCD: Because this year is extremely important in
preparing for First Confession and First Confession, no more than two
absences are allowed. Remember, also, 3 tardies count as 1 absence.
FIRST COMMUNION PRACTICE: Saturday before First Communion,
8:30 a.m.
NO TALKING OR VISITING WITH ONE ANOTHER IN CHURCH DURING FIRST
COMMUNION PRACTICE. It is disrespectful to Jesus, who is present in
the Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacle. Our attention should be
directed to Jesus, who awaits a visit from us. It also gives bad example
to the students who have been taught church manners both in the Catholic
Schools and in CCD. If you do wish to visit please do so in the church
foyer or in the church meeting room.FIRST COMMUNION:
Practice & Pictures (group pictures only) - On Saturday, Wear COMPLETE 1st
Communion attire for pictures immediately following practice. Bring the First Communicant to the Education Building, and
then go to the section of the Church which is designated for your child’s
class.
FIRST COMMUNION FEES - $10.00 for Group Picture and First Communion Packet
which contains a Prayer book, Rosary & Scapular.
Your check is required and must be turned in before (preferred) or at the time of First Confession. CCD students
fees were collected at Registration. Nazareth Academy students should turn their money in to
Carol Lehnert
when they come for First Confessions. Make checks payable to Holy
Family.
FIRST CONFESSIONS: Dates will be announced later. For
CCD students, will take place during regular class meeting dates.
GROUP PICTURE TAKING: This year pictures will be taken
on Saturday after practice.
APPROPRIATE DRESS FOR FIRST COMMUNION: Boys are to wear WHITE
shirts, dark slacks, and a tie. Girls should wear white dresses and a
headpiece (veil or band). No gloves, please. Dresses should not be
so long that the girls have to hold them up to walk.
