IMPORTANT INFORMATION – PLEASE READ
 

  • CCD Classes Begin: Wednesday, September 3:   5:30 - 6:30 p.m. – Grades K through 8th
                                                                                       7:00 – 8:00 p.m. – Grades 3rd through 12th
                                                                                                6:00 – 7:00 p.m. – 10th grade ONLY
                                        Sunday, September 7:   6:30 - 7:30 p.m. – Grades K through 11th

     
  • Register EARLY to insure your choice of class time but no later than August 3;

 

  • Fill out both sides of registration form completely – incomplete registrations will be returned.

 

  • NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED ON THE FIRST DAY OF CLASSES.
    Students who are registered after CCD begins will be counted as absent for the number of classes that are missed.

     
  • Keep a record of the class time chosen for each student;
    if your choice of time is not available, we will contact you

     
  • Classroom assignments will be posted the first day of CCD on the bulletin board in the Education Building foyer

     
  • Class Meeting Dates & Traffic flow map are attached – please review & follow

     
  • Students should arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before class time.  Students not in their classroom when the bell rings will be counted as tardy.  Three tardies count as one absence.

     
  • Students should be picked up promptly after class

     
  • All CCD students are expected to attend Mass weekly on Sunday or Saturday evenings.

     
  • Building/Classroom Rules/Dress Code included on Registration Forms will be enforced

     
  • If your child is in 2nd grade ,  include a copy of their Baptism certificate with their Registration Form and read the Sacramental Information on the back of this form

     
  • If your child is in High School and has not yet been Confirmed, please read the Sacramental Information on the back of this form

  


 

Dress Code for CCD classes
Grades K-5: No athletic shorts are to be worn.   Dress modestly and according to public school dress code.

Junior High & High School Girls: Follow public school dress code with the following additions: No low-cut dresses or blouses. No shorts. No mini skirts. Capri pants are okay. No midriffs showing.

Junior High & High School  Boys:  Follow public school dress code with the following additions: No caps inside the building.  No athletic shorts.  NO SHOES WITH ROLLERS!

FOR PARENTS OF FIRST COMMUNION OR CONFIRMATION CANDIDATES:

 

MASS SIGN IN

REMEMBER:  All High School students who have not been Confirmed
and all students entering 2nd grade should be signing in after each Weekend Mass they attend.
 Look for the MASS SIGN IN Table in the Church foyer after all Masses.
If your student attends Mass at another Catholic Church, please have them bring that Church’s bulletin (write their name on the bulletin) to the box in the Education Building foyer or bring it to the next Mass they attend at Holy Family.

PARENT CLASSES (Required)
Classes for Parents of 2nd graders or Confirmation Candidates will be held as follows:

Session A:  Mass—-          Monday, July 21, 2008       7:00 p.m.

                                             Thursday, July 24, 2008    10:00 a.m.

Session B:  Sacraments--    Monday, July 28, 2008      7:00 p.m.
                                             Thursday, July 31, 2008   10:00 a.m.
Session C:  Church--          Monday, August 4, 2008     7:00 p.m.

                                              Thursday, August 7, 2008  10:00 a.m.
                
Monday classes will be held in the Auditorium

Thursday classes will be held in Education Building Classroom

In prior years, Father Greg  scheduled three required classes for parents who had students in the First Communion or Confirmation Programs.  These classes were held in three Sessions – A, B & C.   If you have already attended theses classes, you do not need to attend the classes scheduled this summer.  If you are unsure whether you have attended a previous class, call the CCD office at 573-5398.

           5:00 p.m. Pictures with Bishop Fellhauer            

           Commitment ceremony immediately following picture taking
            6:00 p.m. Mass/Confirmation Ceremony

            Banquet immediately following 6:00 p.m. Mass


FIRST CONFESSION/FIRST COMMUNION SCHEDULE

Text Box: FIRST COMMUNION: Sunday, March 22, 2009 during the 9:00 a.m. Mass.
PRACTICE :  Saturday, March 21, 2009, 8:30 a.m. Wear complete First Communion       attire to practice because picture taking (group only) will begin immediately following practice. 
FIRST CONFESSIONS will be held during the regular class times in December. Because First Confessions will be earlier, it will be necessary to follow a definite curriculum, such as certain prayers having to be memorized by certain dates.
